Version B: Visual Representation of Geometric Sequences

Use this activity after students have had some practice with geometric sequences. This activity is intended to help students make the connection between geometric sequences and graphs of exponential growth and decay. Additionally the use of fraction bars will help students understand the meaning of a common ratio as it relates to the graph of a geometric sequence or exponential function. Version B note: Use this version if you want students to find the common ratio and write the formula for the nth term.
