Broken Parabolas

Students will begin this activity by extending lines using the change in x and y-values from one point to the next. They do the same for parabolas, with a brief introduction to parabolas given by the teacher before beginning screen 5. The purpose of the introduction is to make sure that students understand that parabolas are symmetric about their axis of symmetry.
