Card Sort: Real Number Statements

Once students have learned about various classifications in the real number system, this task encourages deeper thinking about the relationships between those classifications. Individuals, pairs, or small groups sort the statements according to whether they are ALWAYS, SOMETIMES, or NEVER true. Be sure to circulate and listen to students’ arguments and justifications as they sort. Consider using the tools in the teacher dashboard to facilitate whole-class discussions about the card sort or any of the question screens that follow.
