Lawnmower Math

In this activity, students will learn how math can give them the power to quickly mow dozens of lawns without breaking a sweat. They'll first estimate the correct radius for a pole that'll guide a lawnmower in a spiral around a lawn. Eventually they'll create an algebraic expression and see how it helps them mow lots of lawns very quickly. Math is power, not punishment.
