Polygraph: Clocks

This activity helps students understand the need for a common language to describe time and to surface early ideas about that language. We recommend you don't pre-teach that language but let students use their informal language first and then connect it to the formal language in a brief period of direct instruction. Then let students play again and experience the power of that formal language.
