Spinning, Flipping, Sliding
Students begin to describe a given translation, rotation, or reflection with greater precision and are introduced to the terms translation, rotation, and reflection. Students use this language to identify individual movements and engage in Math Practice 6 as they experiment with ways to describe moves precisely enough for someone to understand their meaning. Note: A paper version of this lesson is also available.
