Pool Problem

Learning Objective: Prove that the midpoint of a hypotenuse is equidistant from the vertices of the right triangle. This lesson was developed to use the frames of exploration, construction, and proof to support student engagement with the task. The Pool Problem task was developed by the GRIP Lab (Geometry, Reasoning, and Instructional Practices) at the University of Michigan. The lesson was developed and adapted for Desmos by Claudine Margolis (czmars@umich.edu).
