Polygraph: Transformations on the Coordinate Grid

In this activity, students deepen their vocabulary and descriptions of transformations as they identify translations, rotations, and reflections on a coordinate grid. The pre-images are red and the images are blue. Key vocabulary terms that may appear in student questions are translation, reflection, rotation, pre-image, image, quadrant, clockwise, counterclockwise, x-axis, and y-axis.
