Expanded form practice (with negative exponents)
The purpose of this activity is to help students write value in expanded form using powers of 10. In this case, we do this for values that include decimals (IE so negative exponents). There are some techniques that students may not be familiar with when entering values with exponents so be sure to look at the teacher tips and student supports for each slide. The answers in the tables are self checking but note that they are only checking that the value is equal to the correct answer, not whether they are in the correct form. This may also be used as an introduction to negative exponents (and the meaning of something to the power zero)
