This activity is an adaptation of Daniel Scheer's work at http://www.sineofthetimes.org/a-coordinate-plane-logic-puzzle/ I think this activity could be productive for the development of "graphical comprehension"-- which I am borrowing from reading comprehension-- "Reading comprehension is the ability to process text, understand its meaning, and to integrate with what the reader already knows. (wikipedia)" Change "reading" to "graphical" and "text" to "coordinates".
