Calculating Power (Chapter 2)

In this activity, students expand on their understanding of statistical power by exploring how it is impacted by the sample size, effect size, and significance level. This activity is Chapter 2, simulating/calculating how power changes. The third chapter will connect power back to Type I and Type II errors. The content of this activity originally appeared in "A Powerful Problem," an activity written by John Lieb of The Roxbury Latin School in West Roxbury, MA.
