Career Values

CAREER VALUES Use the Career Values cards to help you define your work preferences. Career Values are our personal reasons for being motivated to work and our unique preferences for job satisfaction. First, start by setting out the 4 category or heading cards: Very Important, Somewhat Important, Less Important and Not Important. Next, organize or place each values card under the appropriate heading / category, according to its significance to you personally. Each value description is designed to complete the sentence “I would like a job where I can…” or “It is (_____ Important) for me to have a job where I can…” Finally, after you have reviewed and sorted all cards, organize the values you identified as Very Important according to their level of importance.
