Polygraph: Rates Of Change

The aim of this activity is to support the development of language about rates of change. The intention is for students to ask questions about how the function increases of decreases. Note: The teacher facilitating this task may need to emphasise that students should be focusing their questions on the rate of change. The Teacher Dashboard should be used to monitor students' questions to look out for questions like, "is your line a cubic?" or "is your line an exponential?" as these are more about what type of function it is rather than the rate at which the line increases or decreases.
