Beasts of Burden

Students will solve a problem which involves sharing a group of 35 camels among three brothers. One brother gets 1/2 the camels, one brother gets 1/3, and one brother gets 1/9. The problem is messy with a lot of opportunity for divergent problem solving, classroom discourse, mathematical modeling, and written explanations.
