Popcorn Possibilities

Students wrap up the unit by applying their knowledge of surface area and volume to solve a complex problem involving folding an `8.5`-by-`11`-inch sheet of paper. Students determine whether or not folding the paper in one direction or the other affects the amount of popcorn a box can hold or the amount of material needed to create the box. Note: This lesson includes a paper supplement.
