Grades 6-8: Menu Math - Distributive Property

The purpose of this activity is to demonstrate the idea of the distributive property and combining like terms using the context of a fast food place. Students will start by looking at the distributive property as it relates to ordering multiple combo meals. They will then move to distributing and combining like terms by order multiples of different combo meals.
