6-1.1C Area Puzzles

In this lesson students will work to further develop their ability to find the cost (area) of a shape on a geoboard. The big ideas of composition and decomposition of shapes, and the three strategies (Make Unit Square, Divide and Conquer, Surround and Subtract) based on these big ideas. These problems are adaptations of work from Prof. William Fisher, CSU Chico who introduced me to Geoboards years and years ago.
