Stacking Papers & Sequels

This is the Stacking Papers activity (and sequels) from Kyle Pearce's website Tap Into Teen Minds: https://tapintoteenminds.com/3act-math/stacking-paper/ This first task is a Direct Variation (y-intercept equal to 0). The second task (Sequel) is a Partial Variation (y-intercept not equal to 0) with the introduction of a table. Solution shows how to get an equation of a line from a point and a slope. The third task (Thick Stacks) shows how to find an equation of a line from 2 points. Since this is a 3-Act Task, I strongly recommend using the "pacing" feature to restrict students access to the answers until they submit a solution. You might only want to do one Sequel at a time to give students time to practice finding equations of lines from a point and a slope before moving onto the Thick Stacks and finding equations of a line from 2 points.
