Polynomial Multiplication with Algebra Tiles.

Students will identify dimensions, and compute the areas and perimeters, of shapes formed with algebra tiles.  The activity focuses on distinguishing the difference between expressions representing lengths and expressions representing areas. They will then explore the concept of representing the same area as a sum of individual areas and as a product of length and width.
