Spring Into Physics

A simple linear modeling activity. Students collect data about a spring with various masses hung from it. They will measure the spring's length by closely examining a video, then make a best fit line and interpret the meaning of the fit parameters as well as reflect on limitations of their model. The activity is written in terms of mass but could easily be adapted to force, becoming a Hooke's Law activity.
