Beginner Marbleslides: Lines

This activity has been adapted from Dan Meyer's original "Marbleslides: Lines" to scaffold for students who are just starting to learn about lines. While the original is best tackled by students who have some understanding of y = mx + b form, this activity is adapted to introduce students who have no prerequisite knowledge of lines to slope-intercept form. Description of the original "Marbleslides: Lines" In this delightful and challenging activity, students will transform lines so that the marbles go through the stars. Students will test their ideas by launching the marbles and will have a chance to revise before trying the next challenge.
