Discovering Base 10 Patterns: Decimal Division

In this activity students will explore patterns within decimal division. The purpose is to strengthen students' understanding of the Base 10 system and how this system can be used to make division computation easier. The goal of this activity is not centered around computation which is why students are encouraged to utilize a calculator. Note: Although the 5th Grade SOL only includes divisors that extend to the tenths, this activity includes divisors in the hundredths to support pattern development.
