Triangles and Parallelograms

Students build upon the strategies they generated in Lesson 5 and the work they did earlier in the unit with parallelograms in order to make connections between the areas of triangles and the areas of parallelograms. Students should leave this lesson having developed a formula to calculate the area of any triangle.
