Shape Symmetry - Reflection and Rotation

Students will review the concepts of both reflection and rotation symmetry. They will draw lines of symmetry, create symmetrical shapes and identify order of rotation. Nova Scotia Mathematics Outcomes Grade 4 - G03 Students will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of line symmetry by: identifying symmetrical 2-D shapes; creating symmetrical 2-D shapes; drawing one or more lines of symmetry in a 2-D shape Grade 9 - G04 Students will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of line and rotation symmetry.
