Taxicab Geometry
Students are introduced to "Taxicab" geometry. Taxicab geometry is a non-Euclidean form of geometry, where the distance between two points A and B is not the length of the line segment AB as in Euclidean geometry. Instead, distance between two points A and B is the sum of the distances in the north-south (or vertical) and east-west (or horizontal) directions between the points.
