Household Water Usage

This activity is intended to be used over multiple days. (use pacing to limit student access to slides) In the first part, students visualize a line to fit a data set, then graph that line, and use it to make a prediction. Teachers can use the final screen to introduce the concept of the residual. Next, students collect household water usage data at home and enter their findings in a table. (theme can be edited to match any type of data collection) Finally, students will analyze a set of data (an aggregate of the entire class) using the skills they practiced in the first part.
