Long Division Launch (90-Minute Version)

This is the second of four lessons focused on dividing decimals. In this lesson, students begin by dividing whole numbers with no remainders, making connections to a strategy they may have seen in earlier grades: long division. Later in the lesson, students will divide decimals by writing equivalent division expressions with whole numbers. This lesson is designed for 90 minutes and may take multiple class periods to complete. NOTE: This lesson is outdated and will be retired. The new and improved Long Division can be found in the curriculum.
