6.8 Readiness Check

The purpose of this Readiness Check is to understand what knowledge and skills students already have around concepts of representing and analyzing data, performing operations with whole numbers, and determining percentages of numbers. Notes: • This Readiness Check is optional and can be given in its entirety before the unit begins or spread throughout the unit. • A paper version is also available. • This may take less than a full class period to complete. • This assessment is intended for students to complete without a calculator. Many of the problems assess fluency with calculation.
