Grade 7-9: Two-Step Equations

Solving Two-Step Linear Algebraic Equations using the visual of hangers (just like a balance scale) allows students to explore logical ways to find the value (or weight) of x. The logical steps lead to algebraic algorithms that are highlighted towards the end of the activity.
