Angry Birds' Game Design Project

This will be our midterm project. This combines math art with video game design. It will be messy, using marbles dipped in paint, rolled onto the graphing side of wrapping paper. There will be four different colors of paints used to represent the path of the angry birds. Students will collect five points on each parabola and enter into the table to perform a quadratic regression. Two pigs will be on the graph and students will determine which bird hits which pig. They will algebraically prove those two points are on those two graphs. Students will be asked which bird went the highest and which went the longest horizontal distance. There will be a reflection piece.
