Hypothesis testing: Firework Factory

In this activity students will perform a formal hypothesis test (using Spearman's Rank) to see how stress levels are affected by living near a firework factory. They are asked to rank cortisol levels and then carry out the hypothesis test. This uses an idea from Maths for biology | Mathematics, Science and Health Education research centre (soton.ac.uk)
