Number Strings: Fraction Quotients

A series of Number Strings involving quotients of fractions, whole numbers, and mixed numbers. Sketch screen on each slide provides helpful graphics for each task. Copy a slide and use as a Start Task within another activity, or use pacing to focus on only one string. Have students complete independently and share their thinking using snapshots or present as whole class Number Talk String. Text box and sketch screes provided for students to share their thinking. "Success Stars" will be revealed for each task. (You may eliminate this feature by "hiding" the CheckButton.) A grid (with fractional dividers and a shaded dividend) will appear for each task. You may eliminate all or parts of this feature in the graph of the sketch screen by "unchecking" the folder(s).
