Grade 3: Relating Multiplication Expressions to Tiled Rectangles

Students learn how to relate multiplication expressions to the number of rows and tiles in each row for a tiled rectangle in this small group mini-lesson. Teachers will present their screen and build a tiled rectangle. Students will see how the number of rows and tiles per row relate to an expression, and then practice on their own worksheets.
