Order the Numbers

Students randomize a number from 1 to 100. They do this 10 times and try to place each number in the correct order.

This warm up and quick routine takes about 5-10 minutes and can be used in or outside of a Math block. It is designed to be flexibly implemented in your day! Today's Goals • This is a challenging activity that will have students reason and explain putting numbers in order from least to greatest. Prep Checklist • Click Project Screens to show this activity to the class or a small group. • On the Activity Screen, click the blue bottom to randomize the first number. Student place it on the number line, but have to reason where based on its value.
