Students interpret and compare quantities in different formats and articulate their similarities and differences as they ask questions to identify which card you selected.

This Math Routine takes about 10 minutes and can be used at the start of class to build engagement, encourage discourse, and develop number sense. Today's Goals • Language Goal: Describe similarities and differences between different quantities. (Speaking and Listening) Prep Checklist • Click Project Screens to show this activity to the class. • Select a card. Students ask yes or no questions to determine which card you selected. Eliminate cards by using the answers to students' questions.
