Students describe shapes and their attributes to compare their similarities and differences. Students ask questions to identify which card you selected.

Learning goals: This Math Routine takes about 10 minutes and can be used at the start of class to build engagement, encourage discourse, and elicit geometrical thinking. Today's Goals • Identify and describe shapes. • Language Goal: Describe the names and attributes of shapes. Compare and contrast shapes. (Speaking and Listening) Prep Checklist • Click Project Screens to show this activity to the class. • Selects a card. Students ask yes or no questions to determine which card you selected. Eliminate cards by using the answers to students' questions.
