Students describe shapes and their attributes to compare their similarities and differences. Students ask questions to identify which card you selected.

This Math Routine takes about 10 minutes and can be used at the start of class to build engagement, encourage discourse, and elicit geometrical thinking. Today's Goals • Identify and describe shapes. • Language Goal: Describe the names and attributes of shapes. Compare and contrast shapes. (Speaking and Listening) Prep Checklist • Click Project Screens to show this activity to the class. • Selects a card. Students ask yes or no questions to determine which card you selected. Eliminate cards by using the answers to students' questions.
