This Math Routine takes about 10 minutes and can be used at the start of class to build engagement, encourage discourse, and support place value understanding. Today's Goals • Develop number sense with place value. • Language Goal: Describe the similarities and differences between numbers. (Speaking and Listening) Prep Checklist • Click Project Screens to show this activity to the class. • Selects a card. Students ask yes or no questions to determine which card you selected. Eliminate cards based by using the answers to students' questions.
