2- Step Equation

Students will learn to solve to 2- Step equations using introductory steps such as additive inverse and isolating the variable. It is an introduction for an 8th or 9th grader , as well as, reinforcement of the process to solve 2- step equations.The activity begins with a Social Emotional Learning opportunity. The activity guides the student to attain several access points. Each slide has a short response component as well as a multiple choice opportunty. The lesson provides examples to reinforce the objective of each segment. The lesson demostrates outcomes with using postive and negative variables, as well as fractions and decimals.
