Algebraic Word Problems

Prior to understanding rate algebraic expressions students need to know how to quantify. Ratios of algebraic expression assist in solving profit, deappreciation, age, and wages word problem. This particular activity includes 35 word problems with scaffolding assistance. This is an introduction for Algebra students who have previously guess estimated. Now in this activity they will step away from guess estimating and create algebraic expressions to solve word problems.
