Grade 4: Using Diagrams and Expressions to Multiply Fractions

Students use diagrams and expressions to represent and determine the product of a whole number and a unit fraction. Teachers can model using fraction strips to determine the expression and value. Students then practice on their worksheets by matching expressions to their diagrams, writing their own expressions to match equations, and calculating the value of expressions.
