What Two Cards?
Students place two unknown cards on the scale and use dice to try to determine the numbers on the cards. They'll narrow down the value of the unknown cards by determining if the unknown cards are less than, greater than, or equal to the numbers on the dice.

Start by practicing on Screen 1. Discuss the smallest and greatest value that the cards can make, and how that relates to the number line. 1. Select all the cards. Click Turn Over, Stack and Shuffle a few times. 2. Click Draw to deal two cards and place them on one side of the balance scale. 3. Copy the die and place it on the other side of the scale. 4. Roll the dice and use more dice as needed to try to determine the value of the cards. 5. Drag the green squares along the number line to visualize the range of values that the cards can be, narrowing the range as you guess. 6. Flip the counter to keep track of moves. 7.
