Grade 5: Determining the Volume of Solid Rectangular Prisms
Students learn how to determine the volume of solid rectangular prisms by using the formula V = ℓ × w × h. Teachers can present the screen and invite students to drag the corner of a rectangular prism to manipulate its length, width, and height. Students then see how the volume of the prism changes. Students practice calculating the volume of rectangular prisms on their own worksheets.
