Grade 3: Writing Equations With Unknown Numbers

Students deepen their comprehension of multiplication by learning to solve equations that involve unknown numbers. They understand that the factors in a multiplication equation represent the number in a group and the numbers of each group. Students practice on their worksheets to match diagrams with their equations with unknown numbers, and then solve for the unknown numbers.
