Primary Focus of Lesson Language (Grammar) • Students will distinguish between proper nouns and common nouns, and will identify proper and common nouns in sentences. Foundational Skills • Students will read decodable phrases featuring words with long vowel patterns; and will read previously taught Tricky Words accurately Reading • Students will read “At the Reef” with purpose and understanding, and will answer literal, inferential and evaluative questions about the story.
