Primary Focus of Lesson Language (Grammar) • Students will identify nouns that name places in written phrases. Foundational Skills • Students will identify the following sound/spellings; /ae/ > ‘a_e,’ /ie/ > ‘i_e,’ /oe/ > ‘o_e.’ • Students will read the following Tricky Words: so, no, and some. • Students will decode and sort words with /o/ > ‘o’ and /oe/ > ‘o_e.’ Reading • Students will read “The Tape” with purpose and understanding and will answer literal, inferential, and evaluative questions about the story.
