Learning goals: Primary Focus of Lesson Language (Spelling) • Students will correctly spell the Tricky Word you and words with the inflectional ending –ed. Foundational Skills • Students will decode words with ‘oo’ > /oo/ or /oo/ and will read simple sentences containing words with these features. • Students will read the Tricky Words no, go, and so. Reading • Students will read “The Frog Race” with purpose and understanding, and will answer oral literal questions about key details in the text.
