Primary Focus of Lesson Reading • Students will distinguish between the characteristics of invention and innovation. • Students will demonstrate an understanding of the Tier 2 word Innovation. Speaking and Listening • Students will use a Venn diagram to compare and contrast the roles of innovators and inventors and will discuss their understanding in small groups. Formative Assessment • Exit Pass: Speaking and Listening Use your completed Venn diagram to write and discuss in one to three sentences the similarities and differences between inventors and innovators.
