Myles and the Loggerheads

Myles is a 10-year-old who spends his winter break working with his mother as part of the local Sea Turtle Patrol. Working with the patrol, Myles learns about the sea turtles’ ecology, life, and the general efforts made toward their conservation. Myles records data on the turtles and their environment, as they are cared for and handled by the patrols’ doctors, biologists, and volunteers. Myles develops an appreciation for the sea turtles’ long journey in the ocean back to their native beaches.
