6.4 Unit Overview

Students extend what they learned about dividing whole numbers to divide fractions by fractions. They answer questions like “How many groups?” or “How many in 1 group?” They use a variety of strategies, such as making tape diagrams, creating common denominators, and rewriting equivalent multiplication problems using the reciprocal. Note: Students can type the `\div` symbol by selecting the symbol under the “abc” header in the keypad or by typing “div” in any math input.
