Students will gather data to deduce that the most direct sunlight on Earth occurs at `23.5\degree`N and `23.5\degree`S. Students measure the tilt of Earth on its axis to see that it is also `23.5\degree`.

Today’s Goals • Students will measure the latitudes that have the most direct sunlight on Earth. • Students will explore and measure the tilt of Earth. • Students will explore that the measurements for the latitudes that receive the most direct sunlight and the tilt of Earth are the same. • Language Goal: Students will discuss their observations of the activity with their classmates to develop their claims.
